Protect Your Hose Bib
Remember to winterize your plumbing to protect your plumbing from freezing.
Jayme Tips:
1- Unthread any hoses from the outside hose bibs (faucet).
2- Turn off valves that protect plumbing in outside areas and cold walls (open fixture to release pressure)
3- Insulate hose bibs in extreme cold conditions.
4- Locate main water shut off for people in home.
5- If power failure, let water drip at faucets to keep water moving.
Please remind clients, friends, family to winterize homes as well.

Great advice! Might I also add that if you are going to be away from your house for a while (like a summer home) that you should shut off your water supply and drain your water heater. You can then empty out your pipes by turning on all the faucets in your house until they quit “spitting” water.
